Fresh from their prize winning start to the season at the Butlins Mineworkers Festival, London & Southern Area champion Friary Guildford has announced the signing of soprano cornet star Martin Britt.
Sought after
The Schilke instrument artist has been one of the most sought-after soprano playing talents in the banding world and has recently been playing for Grimethorpe Colliery Band as well as maintaining long term links with the likes of 3BA (Germany), Tubular Brass and Wallberg Band (Switzerland).
He has also travelled the globe to perform in the Far East, Australia and New Zealand, gaining awards and plaudits throughout his career.
Title wins
Having studied trumpet at The Royal Academy of Music with James Watson and David Staff and having performed with many leading lights of the professional musical world, his talents have helped bands win numerous titles from the Europeans to National triumphs in New Zealand and Australia.
