Brass Toff, the respected instrument repair and renovation business based in Warrington, has just completed a mission to help disadvantaged children in Africa.
Each summer, Brass Toff work alongside Steve Caunce to collect donated instruments as well as resurrect old ones using their renowned expertise that are then flown to Gambia and Zimbabwe to enjoy a new life with enthusiastic young brass players.
Wonderful Christmas gifts
As a result, the 'Mandanari Scout Band' and 'Bakoteh National Scout Band' in Gambia enjoyed wonderful Christmas gifts that have already been put to great musical use.
Brass Toff owner Paul Andrews told 4BR: "We are proud to have the opportunity to transform the lives of so many young people.
We have heard what a positive affect this gift of music has brought, not only to the children but the whole communities where they live. They were the best Christmas presents we have given."
Thanks
Paul added: "I would like to thank all Brass Toff's customers who helped us make such a positive change by donating their old and in some cases new brass and percussion instruments, and a special thanks go to our friends at the Love Music Trust, Lions Youth Band, Warrington Brass and Edsential."
