The death has been announced of the popular brass band supporter Harry Lever, aged 94.

Keen supporter

Harry was a keen supporter of many brass bands in the north west of England including Denton Brass, Carrbrook, Flixton, Glossop, Stalybridge, Dobcross, Boarshurst, Diggle B, Meltham and Yorkshire Co-op.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Harry will be sadly missed in the brass band community."

The funeral will take place on Wednesday 17th January at Flowery Fields Church, Hyde, Cheshire SK14 4NP at 11.00am followed by Dukinfield Crematorium at 12 noon. Family flowers only.
