Stars from Black Dyke will lead a day of workshop tuition next February aimed at school aged children throughout the West Yorkshire area.
Free event
The free event will be held on Thursday 22nd February at Brighouse High School (starting at 2.00pm) for young brass players, with the afternoon workshops followed by an evening performance by the players and the Black Dyke tutors.
Richard Field, Head of Brass, Woodwind & Percussion at City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, told 4BR: "This will be a fantastic opportunity for children to be tutored by players of one of the world's finest bands.
We also hope to invite parents to hear a sharing of the work achieved together from 7.00pm followed by a short concert."
Two bands
The afternoon will see the youngsters split into two bands; one for players of beginner level to Grade 2 standard, and the other for Grade 3 and above.
The day will start at approximately 2.00pm and will finish at 8.30pm at Brighouse High School, Finkil Street, Brighouse (HD6 2NY).
