The Band of the Royal Corps of Signals will be holding a special Open Day at RAF Cosford near Wolverhampton on Wednesday 29th November.

The day will include masterclasses, workshops and full band rehearsals, led by Ian Porthouse, Katrina Marzella, Richard Marshall, Nick Hudson, Simon Gresswell and Helen Varley, and is open to all brass band musicians between the ages of 15 and 36, and who are Grade 5 standard or above.
The Band of the Royal Corps of Signals will also be joined by The Band of the Prince of Wales's Division and The Band of the King's Division for an outstanding day of music making (9.00am — 4.30pm)
Superb opportunity
Major Stewart Halliday, the Regional Director of Music, told 4BR: "This Open Day is a superb opportunity for civilian brass musicians to go behind the scenes of Army brass banding.
Not one, but all three Army Brass Bands will be rehearsing and performing throughout the day and they will be joined by some of the world's best brass band performers."
Works to be looked at will include, 'Paganini Variations', 'Lohengrin', 'Procession to the Minster' and 'Torchbearer'.
