The fruits of Whitburn's recent outstanding contesting achievements have been enjoyed by their local community.
The Grand Shield, Scottish Championship, Scottish Open and British Open runner-up trophies have been proudly displayed at their local library, attracting plenty of attention and a flock of new supporters and youngsters keen to join the band's set-up.
Great response
"We've had a great response to the display"a band spokesperson told 4BR. "We are very much a community band, so to be able to show off the rewards of our success, which has come from their continued support over so many years, was something we really wanted to do."
They added: "Interest in the band, especially with our set up that welcomes players young and old, from beginners to world class performers has really stuck a chord in the town.
Now we want to round off what has been a remarkable year with a successful defence of our Scottish Open title."

Major silverware
Whitburn started 2017 by securing a 19th Scottish Championship success, following it up with their Grand Shield victory in Blackpool. They then equalled their highest ever finish at the British Open in coming runner-up at Symphony Hall, before securing their best return at the Albert Hall since 1990.
They will now defend their Scottish Open title in Perth later this month looking to win the title for a fourth year in a row.
