Baker leads Lydney trainers

54 eager players made for a great day of mixed ability training in Lydney led by Brett Baker.

Lydney Training Band, recently held their fourth annual workshop for brass and percussion, led by Black Dyke trombone star Brett Baker.

It proved to be a fantastic success, with no less than 54 mixed ability players ranging from 6 weeks learning to over 54 years experience, enjoying a great day full of challenging music led by Brett and his team of four excellent tutors.

Band Chairman Kevin Ford told 4BR: "It really was a great day, and it was so encouraging to see the mix of players enjoying themselves.

Brett was superb, and the inclusion of a Learner Group was a new initiative this year enabling us to open the workshop to everyone of all levels. We are already being asked when we are putting the next one on!"
