Shirebrook Town Council continues to lead the way in the proactive promotion of brass banding as a centre piece of its cultural events calendar.

Entries will soon be sought for its fourth annual Shirebrook Town Music Festival 'Brass Band Entertainment Contest' will be held on Sunday 8th July at Shirebrook Leisure Centre, Park Road, Shirebrook, Mansfield, Notts (NG20 8JQ)

Meanwhile, the popular 'Brass in the Park' Sunday concerts will once again take place from June to September.

The concerts take place at the bandstand in Shirebrook Town Park and start at 2.00pm

24th June: Hucknall & Linby Mining Community Band
22nd July: Shirebrook Miners Welfare Band
5th August: Carlton Brass
19th August: Rolls Royce (Derby)
2rd September: Blidworth Welfare Band
