Geneva Instruments has offered its congratulations to their partner bands following their 'One/Two' success at the Doctor Martin Wainstones Cup held at Yarm School in Stockton last weekend.
First and second
Defending champion Co-operative Funeralcare narrowly failed to make it two wins in a row as they lost out to Reg Vardy for the £4,000 first prize.
Both bands gave thrilling performances of the recent British Open set-work, 'Fraternity' as their own-choice selection, with Reg Vardy also claiming the additional awards for 'Best March' and 'Best Soloist' with solo euphonium Andrew Hedley giving an appropriately brilliant rendition of 'Brillante'.
