Hebden Bridge Band has announced the appointment of David Hamilton as Musical Director, alongside a number of recent signings and a new bandroom.
David led the band at the Whit Friday march contests in June as well as the Brighouse March & Hymn event, with the former Yorkshire Imps and Camborne conductor telling 4BR, he has enjoyed his start with his new band.
"It's been great,"he said. "Hebden is such a hard-working band and great fun to be around. I look forward to doing my bit to further their profile and building a culture that has exciting concert and contest performances at its core."
Transfers
Meanwhile, on the transfer front, Jack Holmes joins on bass trombone from Hebden Bridge Juniors along with Jack Dowling and Max Creese on third cornet.
John Dowling and Kimberley Harrison have also joined the cornet section with Janice Davison taking on the vacant flugel horn role. Lily Morgan comes in on first horn with Mike Harrison completing the line-up on second baritone.

Moving forward
The good news doesn't end there though as the band are also delighted to be moving forward into the new era at their new bandroom.
