International response to 2018 International Brass Band Summer School

Delegates are already booking their places for a week of brilliant music making with an international flavour in Swansea next year — so don't miss out.

IBBSS
More people than ever want to be a part of the 2018 IBBSS in Swansea

The International Brass Band Summer School is already taking bookings from all corners of the banding world for its 28th course which will be held at Swansea University Campus in July 2018.

Such has been the success of the 2017 course that Prof Nicholas Childs has made early booking places available — and has already been amazed by the response.

Incredible response

"It's been incredible,"he told 4BR. "Almost as soon as the last note was played we were taking the details from delegates who didn't want to miss out in 2018.

It proves that the IBBSS is the leading brass band course anywhere in the world — and we are determined to make it even better as well."

Tutors

Confirmed tutors for the 2018 course include Richard Marshall, Chris Turner, Tom Hutchinson, Owen Farr, Gary Curtin, Daniel Thomas, Brett Baker, Joseph Cook and Matthew Routley with more star names already in the pipeline.

Course highlights in 2017 included a brilliant in-house 'Brass in Concert' contest, solo recitals features from the world class tutors, individual lessons and development workshops, and plenty and plenty and plenty of fun…

Ensure place

To ensure you place is booked early all you have to do is make a £50 deposit.

The IBBSS Course will take place at Swansea University on the beautiful Gower course in Wales between Sunday 29th July to Saturday 4th August, 2018.

The overall course fee is £495 — per person. Accommodation is en-suite, with bed, breakfast and evening dinner.

Non playing delegates £370 per person with en suite accommodation, breakfast and evening meal.
