Grimethorpe and Whitburn open Fraternity doors

The contenders from Yorkshire and Scotland will showcase their 'Fraternity' preparations next week ahead of the British Open.

Both Grimethorpe and Whitburn will showcase their British Open work before the big day at Symphony Hall.

Grimethorpe Colliery Band is to showcase its British Open preparation ahead of its appearance at Symphony Hall next weekend.

The Yorkshire band will be conducted by Allan Withington with supporters able to hear them on pre-contest action at Barnsley Civic Theatre on Hanson Street (S70 2HZ) from 7.15pm.

Whitburn

Meanwhile, Grand Shield champion Whitburn will host an open rehearsal ahead of its appearance under the baton of guest conductor Florent Didier.

They will showcase their preparation on Thierry Deleruyelle's 'Fraternity' (above) at Whitburn Band Hall, in the town's Murraysgate Industrial Estate, from 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 6th.
