Ahead of a new educational term, Foden's Youth and Junior Bands are hoping to welcome new applicants to become part of their exciting platform of music making.
With a busy schedule and supported by Besson, the Royal Northern College of Music, Love Music Trust and Accent Music Hub, the Foden's Band organisation offers a series of workshop, tuition and performance opportunities — including the first Foden's Youth Festival in October.
Foden's Youth
Now in its sixth year, Foden's Youth Band will begin with a weekend course at Sandbach School in September. Over 60 young brass and percussion players will meet to take part in auditions, sectional and full band rehearsals, masterclasses and team building sessions, led by the experienced team made up of the senior Foden's Band conductors and tutors.
Foden's Juniors
Meanwhile, Foden's Junior Band will meet at Lymm High School near Warrington.
For a third year, and under the baton of the inspirational Anna Hughes-Williams, the band will provide great opportunities for younger and less experienced brass players to join the Foden's family through monthly guidance from experienced Foden's tutors. The youngsters will also perform alongside the senior Foden's Band as well as in their own events during the year.
