The Cornwall Youth Band will soon be undertaking its 2017/18 season and is looking for a raft of new talented young musicians to join their ranks.
A spokesperson told 4BR: "With up to eight monthly rehearsals and two 4 day residential courses from September until April each year there is plenty of opportunity to make new friends and enjoy the benefits of working with highly respected tutors, guest conductors and soloists."
Cobb and Williams
This year's Christmas Course will be led by Dr Stephen Cobb, Bandmaster of the International Staff Band of the Salvation Army, along with his son Philip, Principal Trumpet of the London Symphony Orchestra, who will be the guest soloist.
Easter 2018 sees Cory Band's solo euphonium Glyn Williams take the baton joined by his wife Helen as the guest soloist.
