The members of Blewbury Youth Brass are looking forward to a fantastic tour to Germany later this month.
Organised by Rayburn Tours, 32 youngsters, all under the age of 16, will be joined by eight adults for the trip to Boppard in the beautiful Rhine Gorge, where they will perform three concerts.
Youth development
Blewbury Youth Brass is one of four bands run by Blewbury Band near Didcot, with the organisation committed to helping develop the next generation of young players through their Beginner, Leaner and Youth Bands.
The Youth band was formed in August last year, and has already attracted young players from across the county.

Working hard
A spokesperson told 4BR: "We've been working hard and have undertaken two-day holiday rehearsals in preparation for the tour.
We've also selected an exciting programme including bandstand favourites, marches, show tunes, pop songs and solos, so there will be something for everyone to enjoy."

Looking forward
MD Judith Atkins added: "The band is really looking forward to the tour, and at each rehearsal, things have been getting better and better.
We are lucky to have attracted players from Cholsey, Yarnton, Abbey Brass and Wantage. We even have one young player from Norfolk who has travelled down to play with us."
On their return the band will also give a concert for local supporters to enjoy at Didcot Civic Hall on Wednesday 30th August.
