Trips to the West of England are becoming a regular occurrence for Yorkshire champion Black Dyke its seems.
Following their high profile appearance at the Glastonbury Rock Festival and their recent return to perform at Glastonbury Abbey, it has been confirmed that they will be performing in Bridgewater in Somerset in October.
The band has been invited to lead the musical celebrations for the Bridgwater Operatic Society, which this year enjoys its 110th anniversary.
Welcome back
They will perform at the McMillan Theatre in Bridgwater under Prof Nicholas Childs, with a spokesperson telling 4BR: "We are delighted to welcome Black Dyke back.
After the huge media exposure of their appearance at the Glastonbury Festival we have already sold over 90% of the tickets in just a few weeks. It's going to be a wonderful way to celebrate our 110th anniversary."
Used to the trip
Meanwhile, the Black Dyke Director of Music replied: "We are always pleased to visit Bridgwater where we receive a very special welcome.
We are starting to get used to the M5 motorway trip by now, and we are looking forward to meeting up old and new friends once again."
