The death has been reported of Wilfred Oldfield, who died on Wednesday 19th July, aged 75.

Crossley Carpets

Wilf was a member of the Crossley Carpets Band in the 1950's, and then returned to playing in the 1970's on flugel at the Friendly Band.

He was also a respected baritone player with the Clifton & Lightcliffe Band for the next decade, before finishing his playing career with Tingley Thornhill Band in the late 1990's.

Wilf leaves behind a wife, Helen, children Lorraine and Paul, and grandchildren Matthew, Sophie and Alice.

Celebration

A celebration of his life will take place at Park Wood Crematorium, Elland on Monday 7th August at 3.00pm.

Family flowers only, but donations are welcome to Ataxia UK for which a collection will be made on the day.
