Blackburn & Darwen Band is to undertake a six day tour to Switzerland later this month.

Musical detours

Under the baton of MD Neil Samuel they will first join the Echo Des Bois concert band in Crans-Montana for a concert in the evening, before enjoying musical detours playing in Zermatt, Sion and La Sage before performing a day time concert in Crans-Montana to help celebrate the National Day of Switzerland.

Band Chairperson Rhiannon Grant told 4BR: "We are indebted to our cornet player Anne-Michele Savoy and her father Jean-Claude for the opportunity to perform in their home town during such a special week of celebrations."
