Report & Results: 2017 City of Coventry & Warwickshire Brass Festival

There was plenty of great playing and a great ending to a fantastic day in Coventry — led by 10 year old Polly Rumble.

Polly Rumble
10 year old Polly Rumble was one of the stars of the day in Coventry.

There was a fine turn out of playing talent on show at this year's event held at Bablake School in Coventry.

After the audience and judge's Paul Bennett, Stephen Cooper and Paul White had enjoyed some great performances, from young and old, closed with a competitors band of over 50 performing Andi Cook's lovely arrangement of 'Manchester', conducted by Dave Lea.

10 year old Polly Rumble (above) claimed the 10 Years & Under Slow Melody prize, whilst at the other end of the solo playing scale, the vastly experienced horn player Paul Bennett took the Festival Champion trophy.
