The Aveley & Newham Band has appointed Alan Duguid as their new Musical Director.

Originally from Aberdeen in Scotland, Alan has worked with a number of bands across the UK, most recently as the conductor of Redbridge Brass.

He told 4BR: "Over the last six months or so I've had the pleasure to get to know the band and help them prepare for contest and concert performances.
