The amazing Boobs & Brass organisation has been presented with the BBC Music Day Brass Band Award — and it is featured on the front page of the BBC website.

Boobs and Brass
Boobs & Brass founders Jane Nicholas and Maggie Betts received the award from Frank Renton

The wonderful charity band Boobs & Brass have been awarded the BBC Music Day Brass Band Award.

The presentation was made by Listen to the Band presenter Frank Renton during their Whit Friday appearances, and was made in recognition of being the band that best embodied the BBC Music Day 2017 theme of 'The Power of Music'.

Superb

Since being formed by Jane Nicholas and Maggie Betts in 2006, the band has raised over £200,000 for charity and continues to provide superb entertainment as well as amazing fund raising activities throughout the UK thanks to the dedication and commitment of over 600 members.

Their story and presentation has also been featured on the front page of the BBC Website today (Saturday 10th June), with a cracking article written by journalist Ian Youngs.
