VBS Poynton Band has announced the signing of Tom Nickless on solo Eb tuba following the departure of Iain McKnight to Foden's.

New signings

Tom comes in following his appearance with Oldham (Lees) at the recent Spring Festival, and is a former player of Pemberton Old Band as well as being a current member of the Young Ambassadors Band.

Also joining is Salford University student Sam Myers on bass trombone. He replaces Ian Drayton who joined Ashton Band prior to the North West Area contest. Meanwhile, Megan Bousfield comes in on 2nd cornet from Greenhalls Band. Megan is also assistant principal cornet at Foden's Youth Band.
