Bands wishing to take part in the popular in the Shirebrook Town Council supported 'Open Brass Band Entertainment Contest' which will be held on Sunday 9th July, are being reminded that the closing date for entries is looming fast.

Open

The contest will be held at Shirebrook Leisure Centre, Park Road, Shirebrook, Derbyshire (NG20 8JQ), and is open to any band to enter, contesting or non-contesting. The entry fee is £50 (non-refundable).

The festival offers a very generous prize fund with the winners taking home £750, and podium finishers, £400 and £200 respectively.

There are also £200 awards for the most entertaining Second, Third and Fourth Section graded bands.
