Interesting tracks
There are some very interesting tracks in the top 20 this month, with more cast in May than at anytime in the radio station's history.
The top rated piece is 'Seize the Day' by the Colorado based, Pikes Peak Brass Band. They have been in the first or second slot for over six months running. The voters are certainly either loving the song, the piece, or both!
The second track has been climbing. It's from the movie 'Gettysburg' and was written by Randy Edelman. It's a military piece, but with a very serene feel and is very evocative. Here it is performed by Oberaargauer Brass Band.
A quick look at the top 20 shows Philip Sparks' masterpiece 'Dundonnell' listed three times: by Foden's, YBS, and Black Dyke. It's a stirring work that never fails to move the listeners.
Another 'bandstand piece' that often makes the top 20 is the theme used in the Charlie Brown movies, 'Linus & Lucy'. However, for the first time in three months, 'Lincolnshire Poacher' did not make the top 20.
As always the listeners to All Brass Radio control the playlist and so suggestions are always welcome.
So are donations of CDs from any band — so check out the site and send some to us if you have them.

Donate a CD
If you donate a CD, tracks will be played on the station (only once was a CD so awful it could not be used) and a picture of the cover put on the front page and the band can write notes about the CD. For the cost of a CD, you get at least a month's worth of publicity!
In May, the station added tracks from three recent CDs: 'Reformation' by the Chicago Staff Band, Black Dyke Band's 'Greatest Cinema Hits', and 'American Voices' by the Georgia Brass Band.
