Easingwold looking for a few more marchers...

There is still time to enter the popular Easingwold March & Hymn Tune Contest — and all you have to do is impress David Roberts in the box to grab the cash!

  The contest has still got a few places left to fill with bands that want to march...

Rothwell Temperance MD David Roberts will be the man to impress and the forthcoming Easingwold March & Hymn Tune Contest, which is being held on Saturday 24th June.

The event which kicks off at 5.00pm and finishes around 9.30pm is one of the most popular on the summer circuit, thanks to its excellent organisation and generous prize fund.

Prizes

This year bands can march away with a slice of £1,900, plus plenty of great vouchers from Pennine Music.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Since our re-launch last year we have been delighted with the response to the event — none more so from the support of sponsors such as Pennine Music.

We are also delighted to have David judging as we know bandsman throughout the area respect him for his outstanding musicianship."
