The International Brass Band Summer School (IBBSS) which takes place at Swansea University between the 30th July and 5th August has announced further additions to their list of world class guests and tutors.

Star duo

Composer Paul Lovatt-Cooper and Black Dyke's star flugel player Zoe Hancock will be part of the team led by Black Dyke Director of Music Prof Nicholas Childs.

Paul will carry out a special 'Composer Workshop' with a question and answer session linked to it, whilst Zoe will join Besson tenor horn virtuoso Owen Farr looking after the horns, as well as holding her own 'Flugel Spotlight' and individual lessons for players.

Forefront

Course Director Prof Nicholas Childs told 4BR: "These are the type of opportunities that ensures that the IBBSS remains at the forefront in attracting delegates from all around the banding world.

Paul and Zoe now join the likes of Richard Marshall, Tom Hutchinson, Chris Turner, Gary Curtin, David Thornton, Brett Baker, Joseph Cook, Matt Routley, Simon Oliver and Matt Whitfield and others to provide the type of inspirational tuition and guidance that is second to none."
