Tickets for the 2017 British Open Championship, which takes place at Symphony Hall in Birmingham on Saturday 9th September, go on sale this morning (Friday 19th May) at 10.00am.
Demand is once again sure to be very high for the event, which this year sees a world class line-up competing for the famous Gold Shield on the popular set-work, 'Fraternity' by Thierry Deleruyelle.
World class
Defending champion Cory will be up against a field of rivals that will include Swiss National champion Valaisia and newly crowned Grand Shield winners Whitburn alongside fellow qualifiers Wingates, who came through a highly successful Spring Festival in Blackpool last weekend.
Spring Festival success
A spokesperson told 4BR: "We would like to thank all the bands that took part in a wonderful 97th Spring Festival at Blackpool, and to the audience who once again supported the event.
Our congratulations go to all the successful bands and we look forward to welcoming Whitburn and Wingates to the British Open Championship, which is once again sponsored by Besson. Tickets will also be on sale for the Brass Gala Concert the following day.
As demand for tickets is expected to be very high, we would advise people to purchase their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment."
