Four major works from the pen of composer Peter Graham have been selected by the Scottish Brass Band Association (SBBA) for bands to choose from if they wish to take part in the 2017 Scottish Open Championships later this year.

Competitors will be able to pick from 'Harrison's Dream', 'Montage', 'Metropolis 1927' and 'The Essence of Time' for the event which will take place at Perth Concert Hall on Saturday 25th November.
The works span nearly a quarter of a century of output from the popular Scottish composer, with 'The Essence of Time' originally written for the 1990 European Championships in Falkirk.
'Montage' was commissioned by the All England Masters Brass Band Championships to be used at their 1994 event, whilst 'Harrison's Dream' was written for the 2000 National Championships of Great Britain. 'Metropolis 1927' was premiered by the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain in 2014.
