Elland Silver Youth band is widely regarded as one of the best in the UK. Formed in 1995 they are currently celebrating victory in the Development Section at the recent European Youth Championships. Frank Renton catches up with their inspirational conductor and this year's recipient of the Mortimer Medal in recognition of her outstanding services to the teaching of young people in the brass band, conductor Samantha Harrison.
