The Formby Band has just made a 90th birthday celebration even better.
Former Formby Band member Roy Shaw was certainly surprised when 12 players from the band arrived at The Ship Inn in Lathom to help him celebrate his 90th birthday.
Roy retired from the band just three years ago after a lifetime of brass playing — and was delighted to hear the ensemble give him a rousing rendition of 'Happy Birthday'.
