ISB to help launch exciting partnership

The International Staff Band will head to the northwest later this month to help in the launch of an exciting new youth initiative between Southport Citadel Salvation Army Band and Sefton Music Services.

The International Staff Band of the Salvation Army will be visiting the North West of England later this month as they launch a new partnership between Southport Citadel Salvation Army Band and Sefton Music Services.

Youth initiative

The initiative is aimed at giving young people of all ages an opportunity to learn how to play brass instruments.

Bandmaster Dr Stephen Cobb and members of the ISB be leading 70 young musicians in a workshop afternoon on the 22nd April prior to the youngsters performing with the band during a concert the same evening.

Later in the year the partnership will be putting on a summer music school entitled, 'Kidz Aloud' from August 29th through to September 1st.
