Morrison the man to impress at Holme

Alan Morrison will be the adjudicator to impress at the forthcoming Holme Valley solo and ensemble competition in June.

  Alan Morrison will be the man in the box at the Holme Valley Contest.

The seventh annual Holme Valley Slow Melody, Air Varie & Ensemble Competition will take place on Saturday 17th June at the impressive Hade Edge bandroom.

Exceptional playing



Event organiser Graham Bates told 4BR: "We were delighted to see a record entry last year, with representatives from 17 different bands. We were treated to some exceptional playing with a great variety of music choices, and we hope it will be the same again this year."

Graham confirmed that the adjudicator this year will be AoBBA Chairman, Alan Morrison, who will be the man to impressive in each of the slow melody, ensemble and an Air-Varie sections. This year there are a number special awards, whilst a piano will be provided for any competito who wishes to bring along an accompanist.
