Renowned artist and music producer Ivan Navarro is currently exhibiting his work at the famous Galerie Templon in Paris.
Born in Santiago, Ivan Navarro grew up under the detested Pinochet dictatorship, but has lived and worked in New York since 1997.
Sensorial perception
He work uses light as his raw material, turning objects into electric sculptures and transforming the exhibition space by means of visual interplay.
His latest exhibition 'Fanfare' links this to music, confronting the viewer with issues of representation of power and sensorial perception.

Ambiguities
Connecting optical and audio effects, Navarro plunges visitors into darkness, surrounded by neon and mirror sculptures that also appear as percussion instruments — prompting questions about the ambiguities of language and the social power of music.
Along with artworks that incorporate drum kits there is an example of one of his celebrated 'Music rooms', an isolating booth that plays revolutionary songs from around the world.
