Foden's signs of the times

The name of Foden's Band will be on view to the world as you pass through the villages near its home in Sandbach

Sandbach
The signs says its all — Foden's fame is there for everyone to see

The name of Foden's Band will now be recognised not just be locals as they go about their daily business in the town of Sandbach, but by visitors from all over the world following the news that Sandbach Town Council has erected specially made town and village entry signs to identify the individual villages of Elworth, Ettiley Heath, Sandbach Heath and Wheelock.

Role and importance

The entry signs also recognise the role and the world wide importance of Foden's Band, which was formed in the village of Elworth in 1900.

The connection between Foden's and the villages that surround our base has been a long, proud and successful one stretching back 117 yearsBand Chairman, John Barber

Proud association

Band Chairman John Barber told 4BR: "Everyone associated with Foden's Band is delighted by this wonderful recognition and for the on-going support of Sandbach Town Council.

The connection between Foden's and the villages that surround our base has been a long, proud and successful one stretching back 117 years, and these signs point the way forward for another century and more for what has been a very special musical relationship."
