Sterling Musical Instruments has announced a new addition to their growing list of high-profile endorsees, with news that Lorenz Havermans has joined their stable of international performance artists.

Having studied at the Lucas School of Arts in Leuven, he graduated this year with Master of Arts in Music degree.

Leading performer

In addition to his commitment as principal euphonium with the North Limburg Brass Band and the Royal Fanfare Independent Wiekevorst, he also performs as a freelance musician with the Royal Band of the Belgian Air Force and a number of other leading brass bands and hafabra ensembles in Belgium, The Netherlands and Europe.

In 2016 he took part in the prestigious Jeju International Brass & Percussion Competition in South Korea and this year was a semi-finalist at the Concours International de Saxhorn competition in France.

As a musician you are always looking for the best instrument on which to perform. I found this perfectly with SterlingLorenz Havermans

Best instrument

He told 4BR: "As a musician you are always looking for the best instrument on which to perform. I found this perfectly with Sterling. The instrument gives a very warm sound, good projection and intonation, is flexible and on top of it plays very easily.

My thanks go to Jean Paul Ratajczak and Paul Riggett for their support, and I'm delighted to become an endorsee and an international performance artist for Sterling."
