World Rankings — March Update

Following National contests in both France and Norway, Eikanger-Bjørsvik's stunning victory in Bergen sees the band re-enter the top ten.

Eikanger-Bjørsvik celebrate
  Eikanger-Bjørsvik celebrate following their victory at this year's Norwegian Championships.

The latest Band Supplies — 4barsrest.com rankings see some significant changes following national events in Norway and France during February.

Eikanger-Bjørsvik's memorable victory in Bergen sees the perennial Norwegian favourite back in the top ten, while the newly-renamed Hauts-de-France Brass Band (formerly Nord-Pas-de-Calais) reclaimed the French title for the first time since 2011 and moved 27 places up the table as a result.

The other contests taking place since the last update were:

Durham County BBA — won by Easington Colliery;
Welsh Open Tongwynlais Temperance;
Dublin Festival of Brass — won by Dublin Silver.

The next update will follow the UK's Regional Championships, when we expect to see considerable changes throughout the entire table.
