Cory duo set for decade long reprise

Cory MD Philip Harper and percussionist Steve Jones will be telling local West Country listeners just what they have been up to since they last heard from them a decade ago...

cORY
And just what have you been up to Phil?

Cory MD Philip Harper and percussionist Steve Jones are to be featured on a BBC radio programme this weekend — although it does come with a little bit of a twist.

Local characters

The duo will be featured on the popular Pete Wilson Show on BBC Radio Gloucestershire on Sunday (26th February) at noon on a programme that according to its own publicity, 'explores the local characters and communities that make Gloucestershire great'.

the show is also something of a West Country 'follow up' — although one that has taken 10 years in the making as a decade ago the duo were featured when they were both with the then Polysteel Band4BR

Proud Forester

With Steve being a 'Forester' — a proud native of one of the Forest of Dean, and with Phil hailing from Gloucester the programme will find out more about their love from brass banding and their success in travelling over to Wales to play for Cory Band.

However, Steve told 4BR that the show is also something of a West Country 'follow up' — although one that has taken 10 years in the making as a decade ago the duo were featured when they were both with the then Polysteel Band.
