Enjoy the performance of 'From a Sepia Photograph', by Belgian cornet star Lode Violet, principal cornet of Brass Band Willebroek.

The work was composed by Bramwell Tovey for the winner of the prestigious Open Class of the Foden's Solo Competition.

It was inspired by the image of charred solo of 'Solveig's Song' found in ashes of the fire that destroyed Foden's bandroom in 2016 — one that would have been played by the likes of the great Edwin Firth over 100 years ago.
