Cory set for BBC Radio 3 RNCM showcase

Cory's concert from the RNCM Brass Band Festival in Manchester last Sunday will be aired this evening.

  Cory reinforced why they are the world's leading brass band with a stunning performance in Manchester last weekend and you can hear it in full on BBC radio 3 this evening.

Following a memorable RNCM Brass Band Festival in Manchester last weekend, BBC Radio 3 will be broadcasting extensive highlights tonight.

World's number one in spotlight

The broadcast which commences at 7.30pm will feature Cory Band's full concert programme which took place last Sunday evening.

Eclectic programme

The quadruple champion under the direction of Philip Harper can be heard performing a programme of music that includes the rarely heard 'Symphony for Brass Band Number 1, Freedom', by Hubert Bath and Martin Ellerby's 'Cabaret Concerto'.

Also featured during the concert is Philip Harper's brand new composition, 'Cantabile'.

Added extras

The full two and a half hour concert will also include a discussion during the interval that was hosted by presenter, Tom Redmond.
