Foden's will perform in Denmark in 2017 after confirming that they have been invited to headline the Gala Concert at the popular Aalborg Music Festival.

One the best

Event founder Henrik Juul-Brinkmann stated: "Since the first event in 2008 we have worked hard to make the Festival the best brass band contest possible.

Over the years we have set new standards so that only the best is good enough. I was fortunate to conduct Foden's at the Allan Withington Summer School a couple of years ago and they simply blew my mind! They are a world class band."

He added: "My thanks go to Mark Wilkinson for helping make this happen and both the team behind the Festival and the Danish brass movement are looking forward to their appearance."

With entrants now attracted from outside Denmark, the Festival boasts four sections ranging from junior to championship level.
