Enderby invest in youthful talent

Two talented young players join the solo cornet bench at Enderby Band in time for a Butlins debut.

  Two talented news faces will appear on the front row for Enderby at Butlins.

The Leicestershire based Enderby Band has announced two signings to bolster their solo cornet bench ahead of the new 2017 season.

Josie Allen joins as principal cornet with Skye Wilson on 3rd man down.

Talented youngsters

Skye is currently studying at Loughborough University and is a former member of Wardle Anderson Brass, whilst Josie joins having previously played at Bilton Silver, although she is well known to the Enderby as she also Enderby Youth Band's principal cornet.

Both are very talented players, with Skye recommended from an old friend, Sean Conway, whilst Josie will continue her remarkable progress over the next few years as an exciting principal cornetMD, Simon Gresswell

Welcome

Enderby Musical Director Simon Gresswell told 4BR: "I'm delighted to welcome Josie and Skye to us. Both are very talented players, with Skye recommended from an old friend, Sean Conway, whilst Josie will continue her remarkable progress over the next few years as an exciting principal cornet."

The players will make their contesting debuts at the Butlins Mineworkers Brass Band Festival in January.
