Royal Buckley Town Band has ensured that there will be a permanent line of succession to its playing ranks thanks to the organisation setting up its own B Band — entitled Buckley Brass.

And after just 10 months of hard work, plenty of fun and bags of musical determination, Buckley Brass can now boast 23 playing members as they look towards entering their first ever contest at the North Wales Rally.

The band, which rehearses once a week on a Tuesday evening has flourished under the baton of Musical Director Steve Pugh-Jones and continues to grow, with Steve telling 4BR: "It will be a very proud day for us all when the band takes to the stage at the North Wales event.

So many people have worked so hard to make Buckley Brass become a reality — and now we aim to build and build for the future."
