Foden's Band has thanks its legion of supporters who helped make their recent joint with the Foden's Youth Band such a memorable event.
The event held at the local Sandbach School attracted a capacity audience, with the band able to update them with the rebuilding and redevelopment progress they have made since the terrible fire which destroyed their bandroom earlier this year.
Thanks and appreciation
Representatives from bands, organisations and individuals were in attendance to accept Foden's heartfelt thanks and appreciation.
The good news also saw the announcement about the band's successful application to the Heritage Lottery to fund the digitisation of various artefacts and non-copyright historic recordings. These objects will be housed on a new 'Heritage Website' so that the bands illustrious history can be accessed, shared and enjoyed across the world.
Future appeal
An appeal was also made to anyone who may have any Foden's memorabilia that they would like to donate or loan to the band archives to be included in the forthcoming project which will start in December and last for 15 months.
The band is now in the process of starting the 'restoration' process to restore damage artefacts recovered from the fire.
