4BR has been informed that the musical partnership between Ian Knapton and Lindley Band has come to an end.
During his short tenure the band secured a podium finish at the Yorkshire Regional Championship First Section contest in Bradford — their best result there since 1996, and came fourth at the Buxton Festival of Brass.

It is understood that the decision was made to terminate his role following the recent Holmfirth contest where the band came ninth.
Ian told 4BR: "I've enjoyed my time with the band and am proud of my achievement with them. I was looking forward to a fruitful future together, but I wish them all the best, and will now focus on my career."
