The Marple Band is hoping that the brass band community will get behind them in their bid to fund new uniforms through the Aviva Community Fund.

Band spokesperson Ruth Groves told 4BR: "We put together a bid which was accepted and now we have to get as many people to vote as possible so that we can be put forward for consideration by Aviva's judges.
