New signings add top and tail experience to Llwydcoed

Signings on cornet and tuba add extra strength to Llywdcoed's Welsh League title defence plans.

Signings
Llwydcoed add new signings to the ranks

Reigning Welsh League champion Llwydcoed has announced a number of new signings as they look towards the climax of the domestic contest season in Wales and the start of an exciting 2017.

Tuba and cornet experience

The vastly experienced BBb tuba player Fraser Bish joins the bass section, whilst the front row cornet team has been boosted by the signings of Rhian Thomas, formally principal cornet of the Crwbin Band, and Teifion Davies who was the top-man at Ammanford.

Great signings

MD Chris Turner told 4BR: "These are another batch of great signings for us. Fraser is perhaps the most decorated tuba player in Welsh banding history and brings an amazing sound and technique to aid the foundation of the band.

Rhian and Teifion have helped the band out over the last couple of years and we are delighted that they want to play with us on a permanent basis. Both are cracking players who will strengthen our cornet team."

Welsh League defence

The band is now focussing their efforts on retaining their Welsh League title at Merthyr Tydfil in a few weeks time, before starting work on preparing for 2017 and appearances at the Welsh Open, Area and Grand Shield.
