Following their excellent showing at the recent British Open Championship in Birmingham, Brassband Willebroek has announced that Besson tenor horn artist Tim De Maeseneer has accepted the role as their new 'Soloist in Residence'.
Impressive CV
In addition to his impressive brass banding CV, which includes solo performances with Brass Band WDR (West Deutche Rundfunk Koln), European Youth Brass Band, Atlantic Brass Band in the USA, Brass Band Buizingen and Noord-Limburgse Brass Band, he has also been featured with a number of professional orchestras such as the acclaimed Symfonie Orkest Vlaanderen.
The award winning soloist has also been appointed by the VLAMO organisation as a tutor and teacher.
Great honour
Tim told 4BR: "To be able to work with Frans Violet and the band in this role is a great honour.
