Blackpool Brass celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and will be hosting a special reunion for past and present players and supporters on Saturday, 25th November.
The event will be held at Bispham Conservative Club on Redbank Rd. Bispham (7.30pm).
Welcome
A band spokesperson told 4BR: "We are looking forward to welcoming any ex-members and players who have helped out over the years. It will be an opportunity to catch up and promises to be a great night."
The event comes at a good time in their half century of fortunes, having just claimed a top-six finish at the National Finals in Cheltenham (above) and gaining promotion to the Second Section in 2017.
It's wonderful to see the band still moving forward after 50 yearsBand spokesperson.
Moving forward
The spokesperson added: "It's wonderful to see the band still moving forward after 50 years. The past has been praiseworthy, notably the Dutton Forshaw years of the 1970s and more recently winning the 2nd Section in 2006 under Andy Warriner.
We are now consolidating again under MD John Pearson and hopefully, members from our training band will eventually move into the senior band when the times right to keep us going for another 50 years."
