Prior arrangement to help boost Smithills charity work

Smithills School Senior Band will aim to add even more chartable funds to the coffers of the RNLI and Bolton Hospice next month as they tale to the stage with one of the UKs finest Big Band performers Andy Prior.

For over 26 years the band under the direction of MD Chris Wormald has raised over £300,000 for the two charities, and it's hoped that will be boosted further on these occasions.

Double header

The event at Victoria Hall Bolton with Andy Prior will be part of a 'double header' weekend which will also see the band give their annual Trinity Church, Farnworth concert — all on top of packing bags at a local supermarket to help with their own fund raising to make a sixth concert tour to the USA next July.
