There have been plenty of comings and goings at Enderby Band of late with brace of university bound players and a quartet of moves and signings.
Uni leavers
The band said farewell to tuned percussionist, Lucy Ashmore who is leaving to study Sport and Exercise Science at Northampton University, whilst baritone player Tom Jenkins will be heading to study Music Technology at Huddersfield University.
Youth development
A band spokesperson told 4BR: "It's always great to see our younger players grow both as people and musicians. Lucy and Tom have come through our Youth Development Programme and they were both still active members of the Enderby Youth Band right up until they left for university.
They leave us with our very best wishes and we are sure we will see them back in the bandroom soon."
Kate Salter will now take on the baritone role with Jenny Shaw returning to the band on horn and Chris Jelley taking the second euphonium position. The band has also signed Peter Seddon on BBb Bass.

Strengthen
The band spokesperson added: "These moves and signings really strengthen the middle and lower end of the band.
Kate has lots of experience, it's great to have Jenny's smiling face back at Enderby. Chris is a very accomplished performer and Peter is developing in to a very good player."
The new players will make their debut at the Bolsover Festival of Brass on October 2nd under MD Simon Gresswell.
